Making history..

So i complained earlier bout not blogging but here i am blogging twice in a matter of hours. So our good friends.clients over at Back of the house cooking school are making some headlines because they just did some cooking on ABC's "A View from the Bay". Oh and did i mention shes is cooking with beer. Specifically Reno brewery Buck Bean Black Noddy lager (a personal favorite) Here's the video followed by the recipe..

Make a dynamite pork loin with a secret canned ingredient! We reveal a sweet and savory recipe you can easily brew up in your kitchen.

Cocoa crusted pork loin medallions with Sweet Potatoes
Serves 4 people
Ingredients:
1 pork tenderloin (about 2 pounds)

4 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tsp hot paprika

1 tsp coarse salt

Directions:
Grind the fennel seed with coarse salt in a spice grinder or coffee mill. Mix this with the cocoa powder and paprika.

Cut the pork tenderloin into one inch medallions, pound them out slightly to flatten and coat well with the cocoa spice rub mixture.

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and sauté the pork medallion until golden and cooked through.

About 3 minutes per side to an internal temperature of of 155 degrees. Remove the medallions to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

Deglaze the sauté pan with the Black Noddy, and add brown sugar. Reduce until the liquid gets thick and sticky, then add the cream. Reduce slightly, until sauce is smooth, brown and slightly thickened.

Place the medallions on warm plates. Top with the Black Noddy Cream Sauce and Rosemary Sweet potatoes.
Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into ½ in slices

2 tablespoons of olive oil

2 Tbs minced fresh rosemary

salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Toss the sweet potatoes with 2 Tbs olive oil and rosemary, and spread out on a baking sheet.

Sprinkle with salt to taste, and bake in 350-degree oven, turning once after about 15 min.

OKay so this is what i'm going to do..

I'm getting really bad at keeping up with this whole blogging thing so from now on i promise ATLEAST TWO blogposts a week if i do not uphold this and you readers call me out on it then i will be giving away a random bike part. Could be some hubs i have laying around, could be a bike frame who knows.. i think the risk of giving away my spare parts will influence me enough to do it.. haha. but enough about that.. whats been goin on with us..

Been Busy.. trying to expand our small little company into the vast reaches of Reno and Sparks. Been anjoying working with some new faces and companies. One of our newest and funnest clients is now the little waldorf. We'll be doing some Distribution and promotion with them and who know we might even start doing some food delivery with them for all you UNR folk out there. Some other folk we think you should keep up on just because they are some of our best friends and some are just great clients.

New year, new way....

So its a new year now so i figured i definitely needed to update the blog again and alot has happened since december 23rd so i figured i'd start right back where i left off.

Dec 23rd- So this was where the blog left off just before me and my good friend/co-worker Nick baker headed down to renown, Tent City, and childrens cabinet. Well here is a picture of me in full santa getup toting the bag around the childrens oncology wing. bagogoods
it was such a big experience for both me and Nick just seeing these young kids that were super sick get so stoked on us just bringing them little gifts that we have picked up through the last charity race we did. It was realy great to see it all come full circle though. Oh and here is absolutely the cutest girl that we ran into at renown. She waited to be released from the hospital because she heard that santa was coming that day. painstakinglycutelittlegirl
she was sooo tiny but she was the sweetest most appreciative girl i think i've ever met.

New Year- So now that its a new year we here at j broski delivery are trying to make everything we do and how we operate more professional. For starters we've made new waybills and now i am currently working on making our manifests, contracts, aswell as a bunch of other neccesary document. Also keep and eye out for some of our new sponsors in the works. Oh and here is our new way bill.. we think its pretty swell.

Busy Busy week.. and some christmas cheer today..

So for starters today is santa day for us here a j broski delivery. At bout 2 o clock we will be making our rounds to the renown childrens ER aswell as their pediatrics section and handing out the gifts that we both raised at the race last sunday and the larger amount of gifts that we decided to purchase.Anyways we are very glad that renown has worked so closely with us in allowing us to bring these kids toys as most people dont realize that most kids that have to stay in the ospital dont get many christmas presents because their parent are to busy trying to pay for the mass amount of bills that staying at the hospital accrues.

On the other more business side of things we have been absolutely swamped this week. Such as yesterday with us literally riding around for bout 50 miles of delivery through that awful blizzard and the worst headwind ever on longley haha but when you get into this business you gotta just push it hard and know what your getting into. so anyways thanks to everyone that has been a part of this wonderful series of races and to the community for showing us so much love.

New shirts in the werks...

SO We've been talking bout shirts for way too long.. mainly because we dig fashion but prefer function. Thus we are working on making some reflective T's to keep both us.. and you completely safe while out riding our bicycles. We have been talkingh to a bunch of lacal screen printers and have been testing waters on printing costs, ability to print the designs, and of course timelines needed to print. While these bad guys arent in true living form yet here is what they are going to look like..
Broskishirt1
broskishirt2

These are just vector templates so they cutoff a little bit of the reflective u-lock detail on the back but we are really stoked on this.. and can't wait to get them made we will start doing pre-orders in a couple of weeks

A fresh eye never hurts..

So we are proud to announce and so stocked to welcome one of our good friends Nick Baker joining our team.. Seriously this is one of the most stand-up guuys i know.. plus this kid is wicked smart. Thus we hope to use him for anything we possibly can and he does math well so thats a definite plus.

For some of you reno folk you might recognize this guys as one of Blackhole Body Piercings top piercers.
4692_202764170360_194886480360_7031210_3595646_n

but since then he has decided to forgo with the changes of life and pursue his edumacation here in town at the prestigious University Nevada Reno. With this he's got more time to get school done and more time to roll with us and help expand this little home based courier company into something great. I Mean look how hard this kid is he's gotta ride with us right..? hahauntitled But really.. Nick is a supernice guy dont let him intimidate you.. if you see him out and about say hi.. if he's delivering to your home/office/parking spot/ whatever tip this guys well cuz you know he deserves it...

Our Apologies

We got work that we forgot to post that the race has been delayed till this sunday and we truly apologize for that. We messaged everyone on our facebook but somehow overlooked the blog so please forgive us.. but also hit us up on facebook just click the link off to the right >>>>

I'm still bad at this, but were doing good...

Hello again people who actualy look at this page. Sorry i havent been updating lately but once again it has been for good reason. We've got tons of new clients aswell as some new love from companies etc. One of the big things thats happened as of late is the two Non-Profit events we did so let me give you the lowdown on those.

Event#1 went great we had a good time but some stuff was definitely dis organized such as the patagonia stop. haha. everyone was swinging by the back (including me to see if the checkpoint worker was there) and he turned out to be on the front side but regardless of that everyone had a great time and walked away with a grip of prizes. Plus we were able to raise some money for Reno Bike Project.PhotobucketPhotobucket

Event #2 So this event was very small (we had prizes for a race of 40+ people) and because only ten people showed up i was very worried that we wouldnt raise that much food for The Evelyn Mount Foundation. Boy was a wrong. Those ten racers raced and collected about $400 in food and almost each one of them picked up a turkey (so they could skip one checkpoint haha)Thus i was more than happy to give out the $1k+ in prizes to all those guys and everyone that entered at bare minimum got 2 pairs of defeet socks aswell as a cycling cap along with two issues of urbanvelo. Everyone was stoked. PhotobucketPhotobucket

(If you wanna see some more pictures from these events check out the Facebook Album

also check out our new blog roll off to the left and keep a track of who else gets added to the sidebar because they are all great companies that love helping us out and also enjoy giving us prizes to give to all you racers out there.
