Busy Busy week.. and some christmas cheer today..

So for starters today is santa day for us here a j broski delivery. At bout 2 o clock we will be making our rounds to the renown childrens ER aswell as their pediatrics section and handing out the gifts that we both raised at the race last sunday and the larger amount of gifts that we decided to purchase.Anyways we are very glad that renown has worked so closely with us in allowing us to bring these kids toys as most people dont realize that most kids that have to stay in the ospital dont get many christmas presents because their parent are to busy trying to pay for the mass amount of bills that staying at the hospital accrues.

On the other more business side of things we have been absolutely swamped this week. Such as yesterday with us literally riding around for bout 50 miles of delivery through that awful blizzard and the worst headwind ever on longley haha but when you get into this business you gotta just push it hard and know what your getting into. so anyways thanks to everyone that has been a part of this wonderful series of races and to the community for showing us so much love.

New shirts in the werks...

SO We've been talking bout shirts for way too long.. mainly because we dig fashion but prefer function. Thus we are working on making some reflective T's to keep both us.. and you completely safe while out riding our bicycles. We have been talkingh to a bunch of lacal screen printers and have been testing waters on printing costs, ability to print the designs, and of course timelines needed to print. While these bad guys arent in true living form yet here is what they are going to look like..
Broskishirt1
broskishirt2

These are just vector templates so they cutoff a little bit of the reflective u-lock detail on the back but we are really stoked on this.. and can't wait to get them made we will start doing pre-orders in a couple of weeks

A fresh eye never hurts..

So we are proud to announce and so stocked to welcome one of our good friends Nick Baker joining our team.. Seriously this is one of the most stand-up guuys i know.. plus this kid is wicked smart. Thus we hope to use him for anything we possibly can and he does math well so thats a definite plus.

For some of you reno folk you might recognize this guys as one of Blackhole Body Piercings top piercers.
4692_202764170360_194886480360_7031210_3595646_n

but since then he has decided to forgo with the changes of life and pursue his edumacation here in town at the prestigious University Nevada Reno. With this he's got more time to get school done and more time to roll with us and help expand this little home based courier company into something great. I Mean look how hard this kid is he's gotta ride with us right..? hahauntitled But really.. Nick is a supernice guy dont let him intimidate you.. if you see him out and about say hi.. if he's delivering to your home/office/parking spot/ whatever tip this guys well cuz you know he deserves it...

Our Apologies

We got work that we forgot to post that the race has been delayed till this sunday and we truly apologize for that. We messaged everyone on our facebook but somehow overlooked the blog so please forgive us.. but also hit us up on facebook just click the link off to the right >>>>

I'm still bad at this, but were doing good...

Hello again people who actualy look at this page. Sorry i havent been updating lately but once again it has been for good reason. We've got tons of new clients aswell as some new love from companies etc. One of the big things thats happened as of late is the two Non-Profit events we did so let me give you the lowdown on those.

Event#1 went great we had a good time but some stuff was definitely dis organized such as the patagonia stop. haha. everyone was swinging by the back (including me to see if the checkpoint worker was there) and he turned out to be on the front side but regardless of that everyone had a great time and walked away with a grip of prizes. Plus we were able to raise some money for Reno Bike Project.PhotobucketPhotobucket

Event #2 So this event was very small (we had prizes for a race of 40+ people) and because only ten people showed up i was very worried that we wouldnt raise that much food for The Evelyn Mount Foundation. Boy was a wrong. Those ten racers raced and collected about $400 in food and almost each one of them picked up a turkey (so they could skip one checkpoint haha)Thus i was more than happy to give out the $1k+ in prizes to all those guys and everyone that entered at bare minimum got 2 pairs of defeet socks aswell as a cycling cap along with two issues of urbanvelo. Everyone was stoked. PhotobucketPhotobucket

(If you wanna see some more pictures from these events check out the Facebook Album

also check out our new blog roll off to the left and keep a track of who else gets added to the sidebar because they are all great companies that love helping us out and also enjoy giving us prizes to give to all you racers out there.

So I just want to say a couple thank yous.....

So as the wintertime is coming and more and more account are being made i really want to take some time to thank some really crucial and helpful people.

First and foremost i want to thank the community.. seriously from bartender telling people about us a over year ago when we were just working for tips.. all the way up will now with accounts, contract, and a business license we really couldn't have done it without you guys. So that goes out to the bartenders, the drunks, the stoners, and everyone else who helped our original food delivery really take off. (oh and for tipping so well.. haha.)

Another Key group i want to thank is our families and friends. You guys stayed by us when we made this epic choice to give up our old jobs to scrape by and ride bikes for a living.. but hey its working out right.?

And Who could forget our sponsors they are really helping us out in so many ways...
Photobucket
Bern Unlimited-These guys are amazing we've been working on deals with them for about 5 months now. We though they were real stand up guys even before we met them but getting to meet all our contacts at interbike was a whole nother experience. These guys are a group of the chillest riders/CEOs/Random you could ever meet. The Company was started by a group of guys that wanted to make good head protection for extreme/action sports, and they hired all their best friends to help run the company. How rad is that.? Anyways these guys are hooking us up with Helmets to ride with and protect our domes which make them pretty much a neccesity for our business so please check them out.

Photobucket
Burro Bags- Now these guys are quite an interesting bunch from what i can tell.I mean look at this excerpt from their about us "Chris Williams and Matt Bort enjoy the more shanty things in life: cheap beer, second hand bike parts, old sewing machines and free meals. Chances are that if we aren't available at our shop, we are supporting our favorite booze hole, Shantytown Pub, around the corner." haha. They are a group of bag makers out of Jacksonville, Fl and let me tell you these guys make some quality product. Right now they are in the midst of making us a custom food delivery bag aswell as a pizza delivery bag for our racks. I mean what other messenger bag company could you talk to and ask for a pizza delivery bag? non thats who. Anyways these guys are amazing and we are so greatful. When they're not getting hot press from their new "risque" ad campaign you can catch these guys prepping for the annual redbull soapbox derby. Theseguys are also a very "green" business. They make alot of their bags by recycing old billboards. So figure thats geeping 650 square feet of billboard from being dumped everytime they recycle it.. Awesome! Also if your someone that wants a good messenger bag, have a low budget, and dont need a whole lot of pockets then check out their "Brokeass" model its almost fully recycled and its only $80 bucks so please check out their website.

Photobucket
All-City- While These guys aren't a "full sponsor" they hooked us up with some clips & Grips just because they are down right nice people. I met jeff at interbike this year and talking to him about alot of his products and he was more then glad to tell the story and specs behind all of them. When the last day came i tried to get him to sell me some clips and grips but he refused. He gave me a small talk on how he could never let someone pay him directly especially at the event he just told me to take them and go. So i Did but not before getting contact infor and copies of his logo to spread around and just tell everyone what a great brand/company they are. So please check them out, and if you think they were nice to me you should see all the stuff they do for their community back in Milwaukee where they are located out of.

Photobucket
Cadence- This is a clothing/goods company owned and ran by Dustin Klein. He is truly an amazing guy i originally emailed him to see if he would sponsors the non profit races we're putting on and he explained to me that everything is handmade and how he doesn't think he has the volume of stuff to support that many events so instead he sent us a package and said he'd much rather sponsor the people running the event because it was more manageable. He Hooked us up with some shirts, some "doubleizers", and then a few weeks later i was talking to him and he sent us some of his straps. Now Let me ask you this.. are you tired of shelling out 100-200 bones on some good double straps. then look no further for a mere $65 on his website you can get these amazing straps, and take it from me these definitely rival toshi's.

Anyways i suppose thats all but thank you guys all so much for your help and support.

Reason #2

INTERBIKE!!! Interbike was literally one of the greatest times i've had in a while especially because i got to meet almost all of the sponsors for the upcoming race series and let me tell you they are some of the kindest most giving people in the world. I don't say that in a "oh yeah, they're my sponsors be nice kinda way" its because they truly are some amazing rad people.. the kind of people that when you meet them they hand you a beer/merch/food then shake your hand whilst inviting you to attempt to eat a 6 pound burrito at the nascar cafe along side them. Anyways i threw some pics in here for you guys to oogle over at rthe bottom...

Reason #3

I'm Really trying to revamp everything incase you havent noticed the new layout and the sponsors section to the right.. also check out our Myspace, Facebook, and our Twitter pages for their recent facelifts.. minus the facebook.. can't change a thing on there but text.. anyways here are some of my fave photos from interbike..

Do you Commute or messenge in a rainy/snowy?

like riding fixed.? then this is your kinda biek cuz the disc brakes wont let you down..
